The first Air Jordan sneaker debuted in 1984 during Michael Jordan’s time with the Chicago Bulls. Designed for Nike by Peter Moore, Tinker Hatfield, and Bruce Kilgore, the iconic “Jumpman” logo was inspired by a photograph of Jordan taken by Jacobus Rentmeester during the 1984 Summer Olympics.
