Known for it's luxury essentials, British brand JOSEPH has a low key approach to dressing that doesn't seem like much on first glance but is layered with subtlety. Joseph offers classic garments that are refined and riffed on by beautiful fabrics, slight tweaks on fit and a dose of English irreverence. These are garments that are staples in the modern man's wardrobe. Headed up by Louise Trotter & designed by Mark Thomas, the pair's CV reads with solid pedigree. Trotter has had stints at The Gap, Calvin Klein while Thomas has lent his skills at Neil Barrett, Burberry & Givenchy.
JOSEPH was originally a multibrand shop that was attached to a salon opened by Moroccan entrepreneur Joseph Ettedgui and his family in 1972. His love of fashion prompted them to display designer clothing in their salon and is known to champion new brands like Kenzo Takada. That tradition continues to today - Joseph have supported designers such as Azzedine Alaïa, John Galliano & Margaret Howell early on in their careers. Success lead the family to venture into it's own in-house label that now is sold in Joseph's own stand alone shops including one on London's famous Savile Row.
